FAQs

Everything you need to know about joining the event, accommodation and racing. Further operational details will be added as soon as they are confirmed.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation is free of charge up to and including 10 December 2026. From 11 December 2026, €200 will be retained in the event of cancellation.

Can I add a fourth ski day?

Yes. You can add a fourth ski day on Wednesday, 20 January 2027, for €50. This option is available for Wednesday only.

Who is eligible to participate?

Participants must be affiliated with or invited by a participating airline team. Current airline employees, retired employees, partners and family members are welcome. Guests do not need to work for the airline themselves, but must be registered as part of an airline team.

Is there a registration deadline?

There is no fixed registration deadline. Once all places are fully booked, you will be added to the standby list.

When is payment due and when is my place confirmed?

Payment is due immediately upon receipt of the payment details, which will be provided after registration. Your place will be confirmed once payment has been received.

Do I need to book the hotel separately?

No. The organising team manages the hotel booking and room allocation through the official ASCA contingent at the Explorer Hotel Montafon.

Can I choose my roommate?

All rooms are doubles. To stay with your favourite travel buddy, please enter their name in the registration form. The organising team will accommodate requests wherever possible. Please remember: every participant must register separately.

Can accompanying guests attend without racing?

Yes. Accompanying guests can join the event without entering a race. While not compulsory, joining the team at the finish area and cheering on the racers is very much part of the ASCA spirit — and always appreciated.

Is equipment rental available?

Participants receive a 15% discount on equipment rental at INTERSPORT. The rental booking link with the discount will be shared in our News section.

Are helmets mandatory?

Helmets are mandatory for all races without exception. During recreational skiing and snowboarding outside the competition, wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.

Can I specify dietary requirements?

Yes. Dietary requirements, allergies and preferences can be entered in the registration form.

Is travel or accident insurance included?

No. Travel, cancellation, accident and medical insurance are not included. Participants are responsible for arranging suitable personal insurance, including international health coverage where applicable.

Competition on the slopes.
Connection beyond.

The ASCA Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding Tournament brings airline teams together for a shared event of sport, camaraderie and mountain life.

Skiers and snowboarders compete in their respective disciplines and classifications.

In 2027, the Lufthansa Snowteam welcomes the ASCA community to Gaschurn in Austria’s Montafon valley. Expect a professionally organised race, plenty of time on the slopes and an evening programme made for celebrating together.
